Most people are surprised by the size of this coastal city many imagine a small town on a small bay, nothing could be further from the truth as the bay stretches from the tip of Fraser Island all the way to Bundaberg.
Hervey Bay, the city resides on a smaller bay and consists of five fishing and holiday villages which over the years have joined together to become the city you see today.
Urangan, Torquay, Scarness, Pialba and Point Vernon.
These are the five main areas stretching along the calm protected waters of the bay.
